1984 Casio Janus Touch Screen Calculator watch - AT 550
NOS - RARE
€1250.00
This super rare 1984 Casio touchscreen Silver/Black watch in NOS condition.
This watch is in NOS condition with the case, bracelet and touchscreen in mint condition, they may be a few surface marks from 42 years of storage.
The watch movement has been cleaned, including the analogue movement serviced. A new battery and factory reset has been done. All functions work, digital and analogue section, calculator touch screen, stopwatch and alarm functions.
The touchscreen calculator works well and can do simple calculations, but please keep in mind that this is 1984 technology and not 2026, but still extremely impressive and the best conversation starter or party trick.
A fun fact, this was the very first touchscreen ever seen at such small scale and on a wristwatch. At the time Seiko and Casio were in competition to see who can come up with the best innovation and technology, Casio has this and Seiko has the TV watch, fair game to both.
It is very rare to find a version with the Analogue and digital sections working. At the time of production, Casio had not designed the modules for long lasting and became corrupt or damaged from minimal acid exposure, this resulted in theses modules becoming useless very easily. It is important to look after these watch and replace the batteries every 2 years.
This watch is a true collector's piece and a valuable addition to any collection. If you're a fan of vintage technology or a collector of rare watches, this is an opportunity you won't want to miss.
All watches bought through Athens Chrono will receive a free or discounted watch service when required.

Attention: Vintage digital watches are delicate and may encounter issues as they age. We meticulously inspect and ensure that all watches we offer for sale are in the best condition we can achieve and accurately described. Consider the images as an integral part of the product description. Our watches are either cleaned or serviced, maintaining their originality as much as possible. For digital watches, it's crucial to replace batteries promptly once depleted to prevent any leakage that could harm the movement. Mechanical and automatic watches require servicing every three to five years to ensure optimal performance. Please remember this is a vintage and not a new watch so please don't expect perfection.
